Within the Varsity and Junior Varsity Divisions, students can take the National Qualifying Exam up to three times. There are three versions (A Set, B Set, and C Set), so students may take each National Qualifying Exam once. Students only need to qualify for Nationals off any one version of the exam (they cannot “unqualify” themselves with a non-qualifying score as long as they have one qualifying score to their names).
Within the Middle School and Elementary School Divisions, students will be assigned to a Primary Regional Final and a Secondary Regional Final. Those two tournaments will have different dates and questions and will be in a relatively close geographic area to the student’s school or home. Students must participate at one of those two tournaments and will only be allowed to participate in one or the other, not both.
